Children Can Be Soldiers Too

Welcome back friends. Today I'm going to talk to you about the very ministry in which God has placed me. For many of you, for different reasons, this may be a difficult subject. But for the sake of God's kingdom I beg you to pay attention and heed my words.

How many of you have been annoyed with children at church, whether your own or others? How many of you have thought that a particular child is just to out of control to be useful to God? I caution you in these thoughts because they lead to evil actions. Too many adults belittle child intelligence. I have heard some children say more profound things than most adults and have heard many adults sound more dumb than the youngest children. All of us have an ability to serve God. If not by witnessing or ministry service, then by many other options including (but not limited to) giving of our own assets, giving of our time to others, and giving of our knowledge and experience.

Mark 10:13-14
Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

One thing that children can give the most easily (depending on the parents) is time. They can help in all sorts of ministries even if all they do is fill cups full of drink for Vacation Bible School. Don't sell your kids short. And we most certainly should be training them to witness to others at as young an age as possible. No one can reach a child like another child. Adults, you can try as you might but there are some kids who just won't respond to adults. But children can quite easily reach other children. How have you helped equip the children in your life (whether related or not)? Have you jumped to conclusions about children and judged their usefulness before it's even been tapped. Please my friends, we are running short on time and we need to get our children in the battlefield before so many others, who could have been reached, are left behind.

Jesus IS God

Welcome back friends. On another Xangans page a person was proclaiming their belief in God yet at the same time they said they were sick of people saying that Jesus is the only way. She said that Jesus isn't God and he never said he was. That as long as you follow God then all you have to do is use Jesus as an example, nothing more. Well, in case any of you feel the same way, or know someone who does; allow me to set the record straight.

First, the Bible says that Jesus is God.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Second, Jesus declared that He is God.

John 8:58 - Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (The "I AM" is the name God gave to Moses in Exodus 3:14.)

Third, Jesus did speak of being one with God.

John 14:11 - Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

Fourth, there is no other way to God except through Jesus.

John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 1:17 - For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:8 - First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Romans 16:27 - to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

I could go on and on but it really isn't necessary. Trust in Jesus; He will lead you to God. Below is a link for anyone who wishes to hear Sunday's Sermon from my church.
