How many of you have been annoyed with children at church, whether your own or others? How many of you have thought that a particular child is just to out of control to be useful to God? I caution you in these thoughts because they lead to evil actions. Too many adults belittle child intelligence. I have heard some children say more profound things than most adults and have heard many adults sound more dumb than the youngest children. All of us have an ability to serve God. If not by witnessing or ministry service, then by many other options including (but not limited to) giving of our own assets, giving of our time to others, and giving of our knowledge and experience.
Mark 10:13-14
Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

One thing that children can give the most easily (depending on the parents) is time. They can help in all sorts of ministries even if all they do is fill cups full of drink for Vacation Bible School. Don't sell your kids short. And we most certainly should be training them to witness to others at as young an age as possible. No one can reach a child like another child. Adults, you can try as you might but there are some kids who just won't respond to adults. But children can quite easily reach other children. How have you helped equip the children in your life (whether related or not)? Have you jumped to conclusions about children and judged their usefulness before it's even been tapped. Please my friends, we are running short on time and we need to get our children in the battlefield before so many others, who could have been reached, are left behind.
